This website sets out the concept of Profession Oriented Higher Education in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese economic and social environment has fundamentally changed over the last couple of years. These changes are having a direct impact on its labor markets and on the structure and operations of its Higher Education institutions (HEIs). In order to meet the demands of the labor market it firstly requires the HEIs to re-define their curricula towards its professional practice.
Profession Oriented Higher Education (POHE) in Vietnam
The project is assisting eight selected universities throughout the country to develop and deliver new profession oriented curricula, to help lectures to teach, assess and evaluate these new curricula, and to establish relationships with the labor market to deliver highly qualified graduates.
Parallel to this - the project supports the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) through its Higher Education Department (HED) in developing a new policy framework for the development of Profession-Oriented Higher Education (POHE) at the national level.
Why POHE in Vietnam?
The Vietnam Netherlands Higher Education project enters its final phase. Its ongoing efforts and results at university level are embedded at the national level; MoET is looking for ways to disseminate the POHE concept at a larger and broader scale.
On this website you can learn more about the process of designing, implementing and assuring the quality of Profession Oriented Higher Education in Vietnam.
